Rail Safety Week 2026
This year’s Rail Safety Week campaign (10-16 August), When Roads Cross Rail. Follow the Signs., highlights the importance of staying alert and following signs, signals and warnings at railway crossings.
At Transwa, we're proud to connect communities across WA and help people travel safely to the places that matter most. Whether you're heading home, visiting loved ones or setting off on an adventure, remember to:
- Follow railway crossing signs, signals, lights and boom gates
- Stay alert around tracks and crossings
- Expect the unexpected. Trains can come at any time, day or night.
Rail Safety Week is led by the TrackSAFE Foundation, the rail industry’s harm prevention charity. TrackSAFE works to reduce fatalities and injuries on the rail network and improve the wellbeing of the rail workforce.
