Rail Safety Week 13 - 19 August
Transwa is joining together with other rail operators around Australia and New Zealand to promote Rail Safety Week (August 13 - 19).
The aim of the week is to raise awareness of the potentially devastating consequences of not exercising caution or obeying the rules around railway networks.
Trespass is the key focus of Transwa's 2018 campaign.
Transwa's flagship train, the Prospector, travels at up to 160kmh. At this speed it covers 2.6km in a single minute.
Given that not all regional crossings have warning lights and bells, its important people use common sense. Be aware of your surroundings, follow the advice of signage and always look both ways before crossing.
