Merredin

Innovating the Wheatbelt.

Initially opened in 1895, the original Merredin station is still active and open to the public as the Merredin Rail Museum. In its heyday, the station served as the junction for lines to Narembeen, Bruce Rock, Southern Cross, Nugarin and Northam.

The current station, diagonally opposite the old, was built in the 1960s when the line was converted to standard gauge.
