Pensioner Concession for Train and Road Coach Services
Only Western Australian residents in possession of a valid Pension card are entitled to a 50% concession on all Transwa services.
Pension concession cards are granted by Centrelink and show the cardholders name, address, Cardholder Reference Number and expiry date.
Pension concession cardholders receive a WA Free Trip Voucher with their Pension card every year and this may be redeemed to obtain two (2) single journeys or one (1) return journey on Transwa services prior to the expiry date of the voucher.
Pensioner concession bookings cannot be made online, to make a booking please contact Transwa on 1300 662 205 or at info@transwa.wa.gov.au.
Please note that only the primary cardholder as named on the card can use the Pension card for concessional travel on Transwa services.
Senior Concessions for Train and Road Coach Services
Senior SmartRider cards are granted by the Department for Communities to Western Australian residents aged 60 years and over. The SmartRider is issued with or attached to the Seniors card, which shows the cardholders name, card number and State of issue. Senior concession travel for Western Australian residents can be booked online.
Senior cardholders from other States can obtain the 50% concession on bookings by telephoning 1300 662 205 or at info@transwa.wa.gov.au.

Cardholders from other Australian States in possession of a Commonwealth Senior/Pensioner card or National Senior/Pensioner card are not entitled to a concession.
