Albany Booking Centre

Work is underway to relocate Transwa’s Albany Booking Centre, currently located in the railway station building on Proudlove Parade.

With the Albany Visitor Centre and Public Library relocating to the new York Street premises earlier this year, and lease of the railway station building to be taken over by the University of Western Australia, Transwa’s Albany Booking Centre will move to new a new site directly opposite the current location.

The project will include:

  • Civil works and roadworks to create a coach access lane and staff parking – these are currently being undertaken by the City of Albany, on behalf of the Public Transport Authority (PTA).
  • Construction of a new transportable booking centre building with a coach canopy and minor landscaping, to be delivered by the PTA.
  • Relocation of the current booking centre into the new premises, once these are complete.

Civil and roadworks are underway, with construction of the new office building to start in early 2019. Relocation of the current booking centre into the new building is expected by the end of June 2019.

The City of Albany will keep nearby residents and business informed of construction impacts during the civil and roadworks portion of the project.
