Bookings are essential for travel on all Transwa services. Bookings are available up to three months (90 days) prior to travel and can be made via the Transwa website, Contact Centre or accredited Booking Office.
Use the Transwa Online Booking System to plan and book your travel on Transwa train and road coach services. The online booking system is fully secure and can be used to book and obtain Transwa tickets using a credit card (MasterCard and Visa only).
The following conditions apply:
The online booking system is available for full paying adults (16 years or older) and accompanying children/infants as well as Senior, Veteran and Student SmartRider holders.
All other passengers including those with other concession types, passengers wishing to purchase day return or Multirider fares, passengers with special travel needs, or children travelling without an adult/guardian are all required to book directly with Transwa by telephoning the Contact Centre on 1300 662 205.
Bookings will be accepted up 2 hours prior to each service’s departure from its origination point for all services departing after 11am on any day, and up to 5:00pm the day before for services departing before 11am.
The maximum number of passengers permitted per booking is 9. For bookings of 10 or more passengers please contact Transwa Group Bookings on 08 9326 3270.
Children under 5 years of age travel for free if they are accompanied by a person 16 years or older and are nursed. Each person 16 years or older may only nurse one child under 5 years of age and may accompany a maximum of two children under 5 years, one of which must occupy a seat.
Children occupying a seat must pay the concessional fare. Payment for all bookings will be accepted by MasterCard or Visa credit cards and must be provided at the time of booking.
In undertaking and accepting bookings and tickets, all persons are subject to the terms and conditions herein after contained in the Public Transport Authority Act 2003, Government Railways Act 1904, By-Laws, Regulation and the Terms and Conditions contained within this website.
Select the travel origin from the 'Departing From' drop down list
Select the travel destination from the 'Destination' drop down list.
From the drop down calendar, select the preferred date of departure (up to 90 days ahead).
Select the preferred departure service from the list of options.
Select the ‘One Way only’ checkbox or select a return date from the drop down calendar for the preferred date of return.
Select the preferred return service from the list of options, if applicable.
If there are no services available or none meet your requirements, try different search criterion (such as the suggested locations or a different date). Alternatively, passengers can telephone Transwa on 1300 662 205.
Select the number of passenger travelling for each category as required.
For each passenger add the passenger name and any concession details including Smartrider number and passenger’s date of birth, (if applicable).
Click the 'Add to Cart' button.
For additional bookings select the ‘Add another booking’ button and repeat steps 1 – 9 above.
To proceed to payment complete the Customer details, including email address and contact phone number, and note any booking requests (these will appear on your booking confirmation).
Select your payment method from the drop down list (MasterCard or VISA) and provide your card details, including the Verification Code found on the signature panel of your card.
Please tick the checkbox to indicate that you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of Travel.
When ready to pay click the ‘Submit Payment’ button.
When payment is accepted a copy of your confirmation will be emailed to you or you can choose to print it now by selecting the ‘Print Customer Confirmation’ button.
Please ensure you bring your confirmation with you for travel as well as all concession cards (if applicable).

Transwa operates a state-of-the-art Contact Centre. Our dedicated team can assist you with timetable and fare information as well as advising availabilty of services. Visa and MasterCard facilities are available for the purchase of tickets through the Transwa Contact Centre.
